Agility Dog Club of South Australia
Agility Dog Club of SA will host the Gwenda Baker Memorial July Agility and Jumping Trials featuring a full day of competition on Saturday 27th July 2019.
This sport drew wonderful crowds at previous public events in April/May so back by popular demand this July, this competition is another great opportunity for the public to learn about a sport that involves handlers running courses with their dogs and directing them through a course of jumps, tunnels, weaving poles and other obstacles.
Doing agility training with your dog can help provide them with the mental and physical stimulation that helps working dog breeds keep behaviour problems at bay. Agility can also improve obedience and develop better leadership with the owner, including improving off lead control. But, best of all, it can be a lot of fun and provide socialisation opportunities for both owner and dog.
Action starts on the day at 9am and should run through until 4pm. Entry and parking are free and families are welcome to bring a picnic blanket and find a spot ringside to watch the action with onsite catering available.
