Join team pooches at Bark for Life 2018

bark for life 2018 blog

October is racing by… which means Halloween is coming to town, as is the Cancer Council’s Bark for Life 2018!

Whilst we don’t celebrate it with a public holiday here in Australia, on October 31st we are increasingly seeing many kids, adults and pooches dressed up for some trick or treating, whilst there is also a growing number of Halloween themed dog events held around this coming weekend as well.  Check out our tips for keeping your pooch safe during Halloween here.

The Pooches at Play team will be heading out to the Bark for Life event at Jells Park in Wheelers Hill this Sunday 28th October which helps raise funds for Cancer Council Victoria, as part of the national Relay for Life initiative, and celebrates the love and support that our pooches provide to us in times of illness. We’d love it if you could come along and join our team too.  Register to join our team here.

Halloween costumes will be in full swing here as they will be holding a Halloween themed Best Dressed competition, as well as the Bark’s Got Talent contest where we will see some pooches show off their best trick or talent.   If you are in Melbourne, we’d love it if you could join us there and get involved.

Plus, if you do have a dog that does tricks… you can not only enter their competition at the event, but we’ll help you film your dog doing their trick so you can also enter our Smart Pets competition we are running throughout Series 3 to win a $2500 pawsome prize pack.

Speaking of Series 3…   If you have missed some of the first few episodes then you can catch up on  TENplay for up to 1 month after an episode has aired.

We have had some weeks off in between episodes this series due to TEN’s motor sports coverage, but we hope you will support us to have a strong finish by tuning in to watch our final 3 episodes on TEN from November 3 at 3pm and Sundays on Channel ONE at 4:30pm.
