Update!! We are very excited to announce that due to popular demand and Channel 10 repeating Series 3 from this Saturday 1st December at 8am we will be running our Smart Pets competition AGAIN!!!
So if you entered the first time, you can still enter again (but not our winner Dexter ..sorry!) into the Smart Pets competition from this Saturday and until Sunday 19th January.
However you will need to upload a brand NEW VIDEO of your pet’s special skill or trick. You can check out the video in this post to see what our winners and runner ups did in their videos to get some inspiration.
Just in case you missed the winners announcement from the first competition…see below.
It was no easy decision and it took a group effort of 5 judges from PETstock and Pooches at Play to try to decide one overall winner of the $2500 prize pack and the three runner ups.
One thing we know for sure, there are plenty of smart pets out there that can do some clever tricks or have an amazing skill, so we looked for that little extra something that we had not quite seen in any other entry…or something special/funny/clever that made the video entry stand out a little more than others.
First Prize Winner Nathan Elliot and his extremely clever pooch Dexter (main picture) who has learnt to water ski on his very own Puppy Craft without any assistance from humans, other than holding his board while the boat starts moving. Wait until you see the video of Dexter clearly loving his skiing adventure on the water.
Our three runner ups include:
Rumiko Nishi with her ‘Tiny Trickster’ Hana
Michele Denning and her playful pooch Trixie
Lorretta Rabbit with her ‘hand standing’ poodle.
We had over 350 eligible entries that met the criteria specified in the Terms & Conditions and each one was watched by the selection panel, so thank you to everyone who took the time to enter. Thank you to our prize sponsors PETstock, HIF and Family Parks.
In the meantime, please enjoy this Saturday’s show and stay tuned for more news and competitions to come.
