In this blog I often talk about pet rescue and adoption as it is a topic that I am very passionate about.

Sadly, far too many animals are surrendered to shelters through no fault of their own and many are euthanised simply because there are not enough people willing to consider rescuing a dog or cat.

Of course, pet adoption may not be suitable or possible for everyone, so as an animal lover (since you’re on this site!) I’d like to encourage you to lend your support in other ways when next shopping for your furry friend’s supplies or Christmas gifts at your local PETstock store.

PETstock has it’s own charity foundation, PETstock Assist, that provides funding grants and other assistance to help abused, abandoned and neglected pets through rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming initiatives. They also support many other projects that help make a positive difference in the lives of pets and humans within our community.

To date over $1.5 million has been donated through PETstock Assist and over $4 million worth of Mars PetCare food has been donated to rescue groups and foster carers.

You can help raise funds for this by purchasing the marked items in store that contribute to PETstock Assist such as their $2 bottles of water, their funky shopping tote bags or annual calendar, or by rounding up your purchase or making a direct donation.

Let’s make 2019 the year where we help as many people and animals in need as possible, so why not start with a shop to spoil your pooch at PETstock and contribute to  PETstock Assist at the same time!
