A little about Rosella’s
- Rosellas are native to southeast Australia and nearby islands. They inhibit open forests, woodlands, gardens as well as parks, and its wild diet consists many of native grass seeds, herbs, fruits and flowering buds.
- A standard diet for a rosella should include lots of fruit and vegetables, and some healthy table foods.
- Rosellas are not usually cuddlers however they can be sociable if they are consistently interacted with
- You might have already heard them in the early morning but rosellas are capable of very loud chatter. They are not great at picking up words like other birds but sometimes they can so it’s worth trying to teach them. Rosellas are also great whistlers and can learn to whistle songs!
